How do I justify or align text / change fonts / change text color?

Poe saves content as Markdown, which is a lightweight markup language that allows you to format text in a simple way. It does not support text justification or alignment, font changes, or text color changes. Markdown supports headers, bold, italics, lists, and more.

Is any Personal Data collected by Poe?

Poe does not collect any personal data about you, for any reason. It's purely a writing tool that works offline on your computer.

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

If you feel for any reason that you don't want to continue with Poe Pro, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Reach out by email to support@getpoe.com.

Whats available in the free version of Poe?

The free version of Poe includes a rich-text editor, focus mode, writing timers and goal-trackers, writing stats and custom themes and fonts.

Whats in the Pro version of Poe?

The Pro version of Poe includes all the features of the free version, plus project mode, narrator, calendar, comments, dictionary & thesaurus, and ambient audio.

What platforms does Poe support?

Poe is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. We're also working on a mobile version for iOS and Android.

Is it called Poe or Poe-Writer?

Both. Originally when it was on the Windows store it was called Poe. However, due to naming conflicts with other apps, on other platforms, Poe is called Poe-Writer in app stores.

When I try to open or save a file on linux, I can't read the fonts!

If you installed Poe-writer from the snap store, you may encounter an issue where when you try to open or save a file, the dialog appears corrupted
This is a known issue with snap and electron apps. The solution is to install the following fonts
noto-fonts-emoji
or
bdf-unifont
ttf-dejavu
